Mandelic Facial Cleanser is a great daily cleanser that uses Mandelic Acid to gently exfoliate and fight acne. Mandelic Acid is known as a gentler alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which makes it great for darker skin tones and sensitive skin. Because of its larger molecule, mandelic acid penetrates the skin slower than other AHAs which reduces the likelihood of irritation.
Mandelic Acid acts as both an exfoliant and an antibacterial. It accelerates cell turnover and promotes collagen production by breaking down desmosome bonds between skin cells. This action unclogs pores, regulates sebum production, and prevents the formation of acne.
